In a few sentences describe your company (including the founders), where you are in the startup cycle? Do you have any interesting stats about your company/product/etc. that you would like to share?
We started with t-shirts and are in the process of offering jewelry; we use an eye catching symbol to represent support of neighbors here in our state. We are in the fourth year of business and through our efforts have been able to provide tens of thousands of meals to hungry Mississippians via the Mississippi Food Network.
How did you choose Mississippi and where you chose to root as a business?
Mississippi was the inspiration for the company's mission. When I came back to Mississippi this was part of my rooting down at home.
What were some things in starting your company in Mississippi that made business life easier?
The incredible support of the State's good-hearted people. This is a movement larger than a single, social enterprise. We as consumers have the ability to influence the way goods and services are offered by being conscious of how you elect to spend your dollars.
What is one thing about working in Mississippi that you would tell someone who is on the fence about starting up in Mississippi vs another state?
We have incredibly gifted creative minds here, MS is a business friendly environment, and of course the quality of life for the price is hard to beat.
